Double bill news headline for the Jersey Shore Girl Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi with headlines at the opposite end of each spectrum from good to bad all at the same time which can only mean one thing she’s starting to enter the fame machine or as Lady GaGa calls it “The Fame Monster”.

Lets start with the good news. Nicole Snooki now has an App. Lets repeat that “Nicole Snookie has an App”. She hasn’t been around five minutes and she now has “a Nicole Snooki App” According to Portfolio.com they said:
“For those craving social interaction on the go, iTunes is releasing a “Spread Snooki” app that lets users fist pump, or see what they would look like with the diminutive breakout star’s head shot attached to photos of their choice. Apparently it’s out today and she is the first of the Jersey Shore crew to have an App. It’s a sort of BETA, if this flies the rest of the cast may follow with their own “apps”
Onto the not so good news. The New York Times has got on the negative bandwagon as this crowd is just as big as the crowd that follows this show. Massive three page article delving into the Snooki myth and legend, delving into her family and generally having a pop at this overnight sensation but also some general observations thrown in…..it’s causing chaos in the celebrity blogosphere. Here’s a sample:
“That Snooki is not conventionally attractive — “A spray-painted Chihuahua,” Mike (The Situation) said when he first saw her — has a lot to do with why she is the breakout member of the cast. She is busty and short-waisted with small legs; sort of like a turnip turned on its tip. There is the weird tan, but the pièce de résistance of Snookiness is the half-doughnut-shaped pouf on top of her head”

Our views on this site are she can’t sing, she can’t dance and doesn’t really have any recognisable talent but there’s something instantly like able about her, she’s confident, a character and she just looks like she naturally should be there at these red carpet events. In short she could go far with everybody scratching their heads in bewilderment asking “WHY?”. Comedy may be her calling or more Reality TV.
Something that sticks in the mind in an interview she did at a red carpet event she said something along the lines of “Whether I earn $1 or $1Million, it won’t change me as a person, I’ll still carry on as normal” Whether that pans out over time remains to be seen, money and fame does change people and it does change lives no matter how good the intentions!
